I am a C6 quadriplegic because I was attacked by
a vicious tiger! well... not really, but that's a lot more interesting than
saying I was in a car accident! :) I was actually a passenger in a car rollover in 2006. By no means have I let this slow me down
though!
I am a Firm believer that Everything happens for a reason; therefore, ever since my injury I've decided that I need to do Everything I can in order to raise awareness to the life altering or even deadly dangers of distracted driving; particularly cell phone usage and texting while driving. A cell phone was a contributing factor to the accident I was in and I'm hoping
that my story will make people think twice before picking up a cell phone in
their car. Trust me, a simple text message or phone conversation is not worth
jeopardizing your future over!
I never expected to be living life as a quadriplegic but
what's done is done and I've just got to keep looking FOWARD! :) I am so very blessed to have such a wonderful support base of family and friends who never let me forget that LIFE IS GOOD! They help me keep the focus that No matter what physical condition I may be in - I can still do Anything that I set my mind to!!
